New Jersey Chooses Tavor SAR

Lakewood NJ police department to transition over to the Tavor SAR rifle of the Israel Weapon Industries

"We are very proud to have the Lakewood NJ police department choose to transition over to the Tavor SAR," Michael Kassnar, VP of Sales and Marketing for IWI US, a IWI subsidiary. "Since the release of the Tavor in the US market, more law enforcement agencies shown interest in replacing their standard AR models for the compact, bullpup style of the TAVOR SAR."

With this decision, New Jersey joins California in adopting the Tavor SAR rifle. Earlier this month,guns.com published that the State of California approved a unique model of the TAVOR (TSB16CA) adjusted to the law requirements of the state. Previously California residents could own Tavor bullpups only if they had a gunsmith make these modifications, increasing the price on what is already a premium rifle. According to the website, a unit will cost about 2000 dollars as opposed to 1700 dollars per unit for other models of the rifle.New Jersey Chooses Tavor SAR
