There can be different types of events of extortion and they can have different motivations and objectives. To effectively manage the crisis it is necessary to recognize and adapt negotiations in function of the objectives it intends to achieve.
This conference examines different incidents of extortion, from hostage taking to abductions or barricades, and proposes techniques and means to successfully negotiate the different types of crisis, always keeping in mind the volatility of the situation and the possibility that the events may dramatically change. The premise is that the more structured the job, better results will be achieved and greater control of the situation will be obtained.
